Fernando Luis Vilariño Freire is Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and Associate Director of the Computer Vision Centre.

He’s recognized for his work in digital social innovation, particularly through the Living Labs model, and for initiatives that bring together citizens, culture, and technology.

He has received awards such as the Ramón y Cajal in 2010 and the Google Academy Award in 2014.
